Tech Cafe
Tech Cafe is a flexible, mobile technology program that brings hands-on technology experiences into familiar community spaces such as cafés, libraries, schools, and local gathering places.
The program uses a shared inventory of portable technology that can rotate between locations. Instead of requiring every community to build a permanent technology lab, Tech Cafe brings selected tools directly to where people already meet, learn, and connect.
Participants can explore emerging technologies in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Example technology may include Artificial Intelligence (AI), virtual reality headsets, augmented reality glasses, 3D printing, robotics and coding tools, digital creativity tools, smart and accessible technology, and sustainability sensors.
Tech Cafe meetup and bring a friend sessions can be designed for different audiences and goals, including student career exploration, small business technology support, remote learning and community support, and themed demonstrations focused on AI, VR, 3D printing, or other emerging tools.
The program helps make technology more accessible, practical, and approachable while supporting lifelong learning, student exploration, small business innovation, and stronger community connections.
